![]() Maybe that high Canola straw price was some kind of "peak demand"? We will see how it developes here but I really like the straw handling business anyway. I see the straw prices I get in FS19 vary a lot, Oat straw= 87 Euro/m3, Canola straw=256 Euro/m3 and Wheat straw= 67 Euro/m3 but it varies a lot over time. Quite interesting this that a pc game can make me research the market prices of Rape seed and straw but FS19 does not have any sort of "Eco-friendly" farming right? :) Oilseed rape straw is on the market and is ‘pricey’ in many cases." With straw in high demand, farmers are looking at alternative options apart from cereal straw. If so, they should ask the supplier an important question: What herbicide – or herbicides – were applied to the growing crop? "Many farmers may be considering buying rape straw for animal feed or bedding. I was thinking about that Canola straw and thought it might be a good product with some oil in it too, but the farmers are warned for the types of Herbicide used in production: Rape seed straw I sold 46m3 at 1,645 Euro/ton which is 1,6 times higher than market price for 20kg sacks, so.yes. You can now tedder the grass to make hay. Take the wagon to an open field and start to dump, driving along to spread out as best you can. In game I got 1,911 Euro/ton for 32 m3 Canola with a density of 670 kg/m3 so the game selling price is about 5 times higher than real life! If you really need the hay get a silo that accepts bales. Rape seed is sold at 410 Euro/ton and rape seed straw in 20 kg sacks = 1,000 Euro/ton!! Well, I checked the market prices today for rape seed (Canola) and straw: Originally posted by Hotcliff:the mod "Straw Me" worked well! Seasons / Hay bales :: Farming Simulator 19 General Discussions. Thanks again for a good tip! Now, we finally are making money here! I assume what Im going to cut and bale for hay should be cut now. ![]() It makes my harvest time full of action with 3 Fiatagri 180-90DT tractors and stretching my old pilot "simultane capacity" to it's limits l like having to keep up with my Fortshritt harvester to pick up the grain and also picking up the straw before my helpers sowing next crop. I think this is good and my harvest has become much more active. the straw can make more money than the actual harvest!!!! The mod "Straw Me" worked well! I did another harvest with Canola here and it made me +41,000 Euro at peak but the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ canola straw made me +51,000 Euro richer! Snow and rain can rot your bales if they stay outside. I suggest the 'Straw Me' mod, that add canola, soy and mais straw, and sell for a pretty well price. Hay and straw needs to be stored inside sheds and you cant wrap them. It took time but more money are always better than none. These bales will only rot if the map has been prepared with a so called Seasons mask.Ĭhaff in bunkers will take one third of a season to ferment (same time as bales), and is not affected by weather.Originally posted by illgib:In Felsbrunn you can sell straw at the animal store, you need a dedicated loading wagon and a bit of time, depending obviously by the size of it. Hay and straw bales exposed to rain will start to rot so keep them inside sheds. It takes one third of a season (1 transition) to fully ferment either a silage bale. Wrapped bales do not turn into silage immediately, but instead need some time to ferment. Grass bales will gradually rot and disappear after two days, unless they are wrapped so that they become silage bales. Note that heaps and swaths are not protected by sheds. Hay is then safe until it rains, so be sure to bale before then. To prevent loss of material, work field by field: mow, bale and wrap for grass, or mow and directly ted to turn it into hay. Swaths and heaps of straw and hay will rot when it rains. Swaths and heaps of grass will start to rot and disappear if not baled in time and left on the ground. ![]() You will need to wait until the “Wet Crops” icon disappears and then use the tedder. Using a tedder when crops are wet or when it is raining, leaves wet grass, not dry grass. If you see the “Wet Crops” icon in the top right corner, then you will not be able to create hay. To create hay the grass must be dry enough to be able to use a tedder. Now, you can get mods which allow you to store it, but that defeats the purpose of using the Seasons mod. 11:39am Grass bales This probably been answered but do grass bales rot under storage (Shed or Barn) with season mod < > Showing 1 - 1 of 1 comments GIJoe597 View Profile View Posts Swaths and heaps of grass will start to rot and disappear if not baled in time and left on the ground.Seasons is geared to work around that fact, Grass will rot regardless of its "state" (baled/unbaled) in normal seasons play.
